The N3 Digital Audio Player, unveiled at CanJam NYC 2017, features 24bit/192kHz and DSD256 native decoding and apt-X Bluetooth support at a compact 100g package
For immediate release, New York City, NY, February 4, 2017 – Leading audio manufacturer Zhuhai Spark Electronic Equipment Co., Ltd., marketing their Hi-Fi products under the name of Cayin, have introduced the newest member of its well-received N series Digital Audio Player (DAP) line, the N3 DAP, at the CanJam NYC 2017, Uris Room, New York Marriott Marquis, from 4th to 5th February 2017.

The new DAP is designed around the AK4490EN DAC chipset from AKM. It will support all common digital music format up to 24Bits/192kHz or native decode DSD up to 11.2Mhz (DSD256). The N3 can work as a USB-DAC to achieve high quality, high resolution audio from your desktop computer or laptop, and it can also serve as digital transport to external DAC, outputting PCM and DoP bit-stream through our unique dual digital output (Coaxial and USB-Audio) via USB Type-C connection.”
The N3 features a TF card slot that can support TF card up to 256GB. If in case the users want more storage space, they can add external USB memory devices via the OTG of the Type-C connection. Measured at 100mm x 54mm x 13mm(LxWxH) and weighed around 100g, the N3 is by far the smallest and lightest DAP among Cayin’s DAP lineup. With Bluetooth v4.0 and apt-X, N3 can go wireless with latest Bluetooth speakers and headphones, making it more versatile than ever in Cayin N series DAP. It can playback 12 hours of high resolution audio continuously, making it an ideal on-the-go music companion for users who are looking for portability and high fidelity at the same time.
Targeted at a wider general public consumer group, the N3 employs a modern minimal design and it will be available in multiple colors. Currently it will available in black and cyan, more colors will be available in near future. The 2.4” TFT 400x300 IPS screen and four low-profile capacitive touch control buttons has dominated the front panel, and volume and playback control are located on the sides to facilitate blind control.
The new DAP is planned to launch in March 2017 worldwide. The expected retail price is US$149.99.

The new N3 has been demonstrated at CanJam NYC 2017 from from 4th to 5th February 2017. Cayin has also demoed their complete line of Personal Audio products at the CanJam, and display an iDAP-6 Network player prototype that will expand the iDAC-6 and iHA-6 duo into a more comprehensive desktop system.
